A stone-edged garden pool at dawn, with mist over the lawn

Swimming pools that belong to the garden

Designed and built by one New Forest family since 1991, for gardens across Hampshire and Dorset.

We don’t build pools to be looked at. We buildthem to be lived in. For first swims at seven, slowlengths at dusk, and summers nobody forgets.

Each one shaped by the garden it was built for

In their words

“They treated our garden as though it were their own. Four summers on, the pool looks as if it has always been there, and David still comes round to open it every April.”

FAQ

Common questions

If yours isn’t here, Ellie answers the phone herself on 01590 682 140.

How long does a garden pool take to build?

Most of our pools take twelve to sixteen weeks on site, after eight to twelve weeks of design, planning and preparation. We’ll give you a written programme before we break ground, and we keep to it.

Will we need planning permission?

Many garden pools fall under permitted development, but listed buildings, the National Park and pool houses usually need consent. We check on the first visit and handle the application for you if one is needed.

What does a garden pool cost?

Our formal pools start from £145,000, natural swimming ponds from £120,000 and restorations from £35,000. After the survey you get a fully itemised, fixed quotation, and that is the price you pay.

Can a pool be heated sustainably?

Yes. Every pool we build now runs on an air or ground-source heat pump, sized for your pool and the months you want to swim. With an automatic cover, most of our clients swim from May to October for less than they expected.

How do you protect the garden during the build?

We agree the access route, protected trees and borders with you before we start, lay boards wherever machines travel and keep spoil off the lawn. Our own team clears up every evening, and we leave the garden as we found it.

Do you look after the pool once it’s finished?

We do. Five years of aftercare comes with every pool, including spring opening and autumn closing, and most of our clients stay with us long after that. David still opens many of them himself each April.
