The timber barn at the Lyndhurst pool yard

Heritage

Thirty-five years, one family, one yard

Everything we know about building pools, we learned here, on the edge of the New Forest.

Since 1991

Peter Sherrin dug his first pool by hand in a Lyndhurst garden in the summer of 1991. His son David joined in 2003, and today Peter’s granddaughter Ellie leads design from the same yard on the edge of the forest.

We have never franchised, never subcontracted and never grown faster than we could look after. That is why we still build fewer than twenty pools a year.

What hasn’t changed since 1991

Our own people

Every one of our fourteen craftsmen is employed by us. Nobody on your site is a stranger to us.

Our own stone

Coping and paving are cut and finished in our Lyndhurst workshop, not ordered from a catalogue.

We stay

Most of our clients have been with us for a decade or more. We open their pools every spring.

Begin here

Start with a walk round the garden

A first visit is free and unhurried. We’ll look at the light, the levels and the trees, and tell you honestly what’s possible.
